No-code

No-code is a way to build software without writing code, using visual editors, prompts, and pre-wired integrations. It works best when the platform also handles the boring infrastructure (hosting, payments, deliverability) for you.

What no-code means in practice

No-code platforms replace lines of code with visual editors, configuration, and AI prompts. Instead of hiring a developer to write a booking form, you describe it in plain English and the platform produces a working version. The skill stops being "can you write JavaScript?" and starts being "do you know what you want?".

Why no-code is now business-grade

Five years ago, no-code felt like glorified spreadsheets. Today, no-code platforms can take payments, send transactional email, integrate with calendars, run AI generation, and host production traffic. For most service businesses (coaches, salons, agencies, studios, real-estate teams) there is no longer a strong reason to commission a custom website unless you have very unusual needs.

Where no-code falls down

No-code is not magic. Bad no-code tools still produce slow, ugly, fragile sites if you abuse them. The platform you pick matters more than the category. Favour platforms that include real hosting, real payments, real backups, and real support, not just a nice editor.
